What is Tooth Whitening?
Tooth Whitening can give you a brighter, whiter smile. With time your teeth naturally darken and become more yellow. Drinking tea, coffee, red wine and smoking also stain the teeth. These stains build up inside the teeth, so no matter how many times you brush your teeth, or see a dental hygienist, the teeth will continue to darken with time.
With Tooth Whitening you can reverse this, making your smile brighter, whiter and more youthful.
What is Zoom Teeth Whitening?
Zoom in-chair Teeth Whitening is available at Notley Dental Care. This procedure is very simple and takes 90 minutes. We cover your lips and gums, leaving only the teeth exposed, a special gel is then applied. This works in conjunction with the state-of-the-art Zoom power light system to penetrate the teeth, breaking up stains and any discoloration.
It is safe, effective and with proper care your smile could sparkle for years. We recommend boosting and maintaining the result with our Home Whitening kit that is included in the Zoom package.
At Notley Dental Care we offer Zoom in-house Whitening and Home Teeth Whitening to patients in the Godalming, Guildford and surrounding Surrey areas.
Will I need maintenance?
To maintain your bright white smile we recommend that you top it up. Maintenance requirements will vary from a couple of days a month to a couple of days every six months. For this you will need to use the custom made whitening trays we have provided you at home. We are confident you will be delighted with your smile.
Is Teeth Whitening safe?
The tooth whitening process has been tested and used clinically for many years (both in the UK and USA), and has proved to be safe and effective when whitening teeth. The majority of dentists agree that this procedure is one of the most conservative ways to alter your smile. Some short-term sensitivity of the teeth to cold following the procedure is common, although with most modern systems this normally resolves within a few days, or can be easily reversed by us if required.
Is Teeth Whitening painful?
At Notley Dental Care you will receive an initial free consultation prior to the whitening, to determine the level of sensitivity and staining of your natural teeth and whether the treatment is suitable for each individual case.
Whitening carried out by our dental team includes additional benefits such as sensitivity prevention and fluoride advice. Some patients can experience temporary reversible sensitivity during the whitening procedures.
